About Danny

My Approach to Therapy

I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and change. My role is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, develop new insights, and build the skills you need to live a more fulfilling life.

With over 20 years of experience working with teens, young adults, and families, I've helped hundreds of clients navigate challenges including anxiety, men's issues, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Family Systems therapy—to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and goals.

  • Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Grand Canyon University
  • Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) - Arizona License #LAC-24137

  • Member, American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC)

Continuing Education: I regularly participate in professional development to stay current with the latest research and therapeutic techniques.

My Therapeutic Philosophy

Client-Centered

You are the expert on your own life. I listen carefully to understand your experiences from your perspective, and my job is to help you find your own answers—not to tell you what to do.

Strengths-Based

I focus on identifying and building on your existing strengths rather than dwelling on problems. Everyone has resources and resilience that can be harnessed for positive change.

Evidence-Based

My practice is grounded in scientifically validated therapeutic approaches. I integrate the best available research with clinical expertise to serve my clients effectively.

Culturally Sensitive

I respect and honor the cultural, religious, and personal values that shape your identity and experiences. Your background informs who you are and how you engage with therapy.

What to Expect in Therapy

Your First Visit

Our first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask about your reasons for seeking therapy, your current challenges, and your goals for treatment. This is also your opportunity to ask me questions and determine if we're a good fit.

Confidentiality

Everything you share in therapy is confidential. I adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines to protect your privacy. Your employer, insurance company, and family members will not receive any information without your written consent.

Your Comfort Matters

Therapy should feel like a safe space. If at any time you feel uncomfortable with the approach we're taking or the topics we're discussing, I encourage you to let me know. We can adjust our pace or try different approaches.

Progress at Your Pace

There's no set timeline for therapy. Some people achieve their goals in a few months; others find ongoing support beneficial for longer. We'll regularly check in about your progress and adjust our approach as needed.
